  1. Exploring the role of seed pigmentation in root exudation and seed vigour associated traits under low input environment in rice, sorghum and finger millet
  2. Exploring and comprehending the molecular mechanisms behind dormancy and germination in finger millet

    Research Accomplishments (5 best):

  • Developed and released three rice varieties for early transplanted conditions, CR Dhan 318, CR Dhan 321 (first variety released for nine states from CRRI), CR Dhan 337
  • Associated with the development and release of five rice varieties of irrigated ecology CR Dhan 602, CR Dhan 319, CR Dhan 801 (First Multiple stress tolerant variety), Swarna Purvi Dhan 3, CR Dhan 327
  • Developed and released seven aerobic rice varieties CR Dhan 203, CR Dhan 205, CR Dhan 207, CR Dhan 209, CR Dhan 211, CR Dhan 212 and Swarna Shakti Dhan.
  • Associated with the development and release of a non-GMO herbicide (Imazethapyr) tolerant rice variety CR Dhan 807.
  • Associated with the development and release of semi-deep and deep water ecology varieties of CR Dhan 506 and CR Dhan 508.
