1. Worked on two externally funded projects as a PI viz., DBT-BioCARe Project (50.28 lakh) and DST-WOSA Project (33.0 lakh).
2. Identified MTAs (EST-SSRs, gSSRs, candidate genes, QTLs, SNPs, alternate splicing events) for sucrose, red rot resistance, DUS characteristics and other yield contributing traits using linkage mapping, association mapping and BSRseq in sugarcane.
3. Identified SNPs and microRNAs associated with early season high sucrose accumulation through bulk segregant RNAseq (BSRseq) which shall be used as targets for genome editing project being implemented at ICAR-IISR.
